Day 0: Arrival, Pick-up & Preparation
Our team provides free pick-up from the following locations in Lombok:

Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up and take you to Jou Trekking Guesthouse in Senaru, our meeting point and preparation area.
Once you arrive, you can check in, relax, and prepare for your trek. Our team will provide a trekking briefing covering the itinerary, safety information, equipment, and other important details.
You can also leave your extra luggage safely at our office/guesthouse while you are trekking.

Day 1: Senaru Village to Senaru Crater Rim
Your adventure begins in Senaru Village (600 m), the main gateway to Mount Rinjani from the north of Lombok. After completing registration at the Rinjani Trek Center and meeting your guide, you will begin the trek through lush tropical rainforest.
The trail winds beneath towering trees and dense vegetation, with the sounds of birds and forest wildlife accompanying you along the way. The route gradually becomes steeper as you gain elevation, with several rest points where you can stop, hydrate, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
After reaching Pos 3 Mondokan Lolak (2,000 m), you will take a well-deserved break and enjoy lunch before continuing toward the crater rim. The final section is more challenging, but the changing scenery and mountain views make the climb rewarding.
By around 3:30 PM, you will reach the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m), where you will set up camp for the night. From the crater rim, enjoy breathtaking views of Segara Anak Lake, Mount Rinjani’s summit, Mount Barujari, and the surrounding valleys.
As the sun begins to set, take time to relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery. Meanwhile, your guide and porters will prepare dinner. After dinner, settle into your tent and rest for the night, ready for the descent back to Senaru Village the following day.

Day 2: Descent from Senaru Crater Rim to Senaru Village
Wake up early at the Senaru Crater Rim and enjoy the peaceful mountain morning as the first light of day illuminates the spectacular landscape. From the rim, you can admire panoramic views of Segara Anak Lake, Mount Rinjani’s summit, Mount Barujari, and the surrounding valleys.
After breakfast, pack your belongings and begin the descent toward Senaru Village. The trail winds through dense tropical rainforest, providing cool shade and a refreshing contrast to the exposed crater rim. Along the way, you may encounter local wildlife, including monkeys, while enjoying the lush vegetation and peaceful forest atmosphere.
The descent takes several hours and gradually brings you back to the lower elevations. After reaching Senaru Village, you will be transferred to our office, where you can collect your luggage and freshen up before continuing to your next destination.
