Day 1: Sembalun to Sembalun Crater Rim
Begin your journey in Sembalun, hiking through the savanna desert to the Sembalun Crater Rim camp. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Day 2: Summit and Volcano Lake
Wake up at 2 a.m. to conquer the summit and witness the sunrise. Afterward, descend to the enchanting Segara Anak Lake, nestled within the volcano, and spend the afternoon swimming in its crystal-clear waters.
Day 3: Tree-Lined Crater to Senaru Crater Rim
Trek through the tree-lined crater to reach the Senaru Crater Rim camp. Take in the stunning views of the lake and surrounding landscape.
Day 4: Descent to Senaru

Itinerary
Our trek commences at 08:00 am from the starting point (1,156m altitude).
Morning Trek
â– 2 hours of walking brings us to Post 1 (1,300m)
â– A further 40 minutes of walking takes us to Post 2 (1,500m)
â– We take a 10-15 minute break to rest and recharge with water and snacks/biscuits
Mid-Morning Trek
â– Continuing on, we walk for another hour to reach Pada Belong (Post 3) at 1,800m
â– We stop for a 2-hour lunch break, during which our guide and porters will prepare a delicious meal, complete with tea, coffee, and dessert
Afternoon Trek
â– After lunch, we embark on a 3-hour trek to Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m)
â– Upon arrival, our porters and guide will set up camp and prepare dinner
Evening
â– As the sun sets, we can enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the crater lake from the comfort of our campsite.
â– 02:30 AM: Wake up for a light breakfast to fuel up for the summit climb
â– 03:00 AM: Depart from camp and begin the challenging ascent to the summit
Challenging Summit Climb
â– 3 hours of strenuous climbing, with the last hour being particularly demanding due to the gravelly terrain
■Be prepared for a temperature drop of 6-7°C and strong winds; a windbreaker jacket, gloves, hat, and trekking poles are highly recommended
Reaching the Summit
â– Reach the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m/12,224ft) and enjoy breathtaking views of:

Descending to Segara Anak Lake
â– Return to the campsite on the crater rim and stop for a hot breakfast and refreshing drinks
â– After breakfast, begin the 3-hour descent to Segara Anak Lake (2,000m)
â– Arrive at the lake and set up camp, spending the rest of the day relaxing and exploring the lakeshore

â– Unwind and rejuvenate at the nearby hot springs, just a 10-minute walk from the campsite.
Leisurely Morning
â– 09:00 AM: Wake up to a leisurely breakfast, surrounded by the serene atmosphere of Segara Anak Lake

Lunch and Ascension
â– 12:30 PM: After lunch, commence the 3-hour climb to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m)

Sunset at Senaru Crater Rim*
â– Arrive at Senaru Crater Rim, where you’ll be treated to a spectacular sunset
